It’s reported that the PBA board is set to meet on Monday for talks on the coverage of the 30+ year old league after its contract with ABC-5 expires this July. There are rumors that GMA-7 has show interest in buying the rights of the pro-league’s national coverage. Should this happen, the PBA will soon be seen on QTV-11.For the information of the readers, the PBA and GMA has recently inked their deal on the international TV coverage rights through Pinoy TV Channel, TFC’s rival, reportedly to the tune of $200,000.
Reactions on the Alasaka-Magnolia Trade
It looks like the recent trade involving Bono & Cortez - Fonacier & Tenorio has raised the question WHY among many fans. Personally, I think Alaska gained from this trade. Me thinks the acquisition of Fonacier would be very much an advantage for the team. Larry’s such a good catch based on his statistics. Add to that Tenorio’s playmaking skills, plus he’s a good outside shooter. As for Mr. Bono, let’s give him the benefit of the doubt. He wasn’t given that much exposure in his first conference debut in Alaska. Cortez on the other hand hasn’t been really in that tip top shape as far as his showing is concerned after recuperating from his injury.
