Arwind Santos Question and Answer

It was one sunny day when I went to this fitness gym to inquire on their rates and services. I didn’t know Arwind Santos goes to that gym as well. I don’t know Arwind personally. But in some gatherings, we come across each other, and he’s always with his wife, Yvette (did I spell it right?) But I thought of featuring him here in my blog. Because primarily, he’s a cager. Secondly, he’s controversial. Haha.


So I waited for almost half an hour to finally have the chance to know him, and eventually, ask him some questions. Good thing I had my Ipod to make myself busy and pretend that I ain’t stalking. Finally, he went out of the gym area. He was wearing this green sleevless top, obviously his shoulder muscles were all pumped up. As he was about to exit through the door, I called him. Asked him if I can ask him some Qs. He nodded. Whew, I thought he’s a snub.


As a primer, I asked him what’s the sweetest thing about being a basketball player. Arwin says that after all the hardships that he has undertaken, after playing for PYBL, PBL, UAAP, he is finally in the PBA, one of his biggest dreams.


Of course, I wanna ask about how he felt about the controversies that he has experienced. He retorted, that none of these issues has ever affected that much. Sub question: Why? Well he has his family as his inspiration. That’s what makes him strong. And I’m makulit, I asked which controversy struck him the most, he replied - None.
My favorite question I ask every basketball player I speak to, what would he be doing if he’s not a baller. Arwind thinks he’s just gonna be a simple employee doing a day job. What else would he want in life? Like 10 years from now what would he be doing? “Siguro nakapag travel na ako nun, tapos retired na, may trabaho sa States”.


Lastly, what is your team going to show this coming conference? He’s even more humble with this. “Sana malagpasan pa namin yung wildcard na na-achieve namin last conference. Mahirap magsalita. Basta we’ll work hard on defense”
When he left, thats when I realized, I forgot to ask him a question I’ve been itching to ask him for a couple of years. What does it feel being hit by Mr. Salgado? Shux. I’ll ask him that next time for sure.

i’m not really sure if you are reading these blogs, bsta i try my luck hoping that i could meet you. i’m super duper avid fan. even if i’m the only one screaming in the big dome to compete with the mamoth crowd, i’d still scream to cheer for u.
