PBA Semifinals at the Cuneta Astrodome

Posted by admin in news, schedules

Games will be held in Pasay once more because of foreign show at the Araneta Coliseum. In the first game, Red Bull will attempt to capture game 2 of their series against the Ginebra GinKings. Chris Alexander outplayed Barako Adam Parada in their game last Sunday making 16 points and 17 rebounds in front of more than 10,000 fans who watched the game.

In the second game, Steve Thomas is back for the Express. It would be remembered that the Air21 import missed game 1 to attend a Korean Basketball League draft in the US. The Express was fined P50,000 for this. In the rule books, a team to play without an import is fined for such amount. Will Thomas be able to bring back the momentum for his team?

Hefty fines for TNT’s Leather, Purefoods’ James Yap, etc.

Posted by admin in news, schedules, videos

The PBA is P244,00.00 richer in one instant. This happened a day after the incident last Wednesday during the do or die game of the Talk N’ Text Phone Pals and the Purefoods TJ Giants in Ynares. The Phone Pals won that game. As expected, TNT import Terrence Leather got the heaviest fine of P62,400.00 However, it’s such a surprise that he could play tonight’s game and won’t get suspended. TNT cagers Kalani Ferreria and Gilbert Lao were fined P20,000 each for their involvement in the commotion.

On the other hand, James Yap is P50,000.00 poorer for getting involved even if he wasn’t really the instigator of the melee. Others who were fined in the TJ Giants include Enrico Villanueva, Kerby Raymundo, Rob Sanz and Jondan Salvador.

In tonight’s game, the Phone Pals face back to back championship aspirants Santa Lucia Realtors. Game is set at 7:00 pm at the Ynares Center. The winner will battle Barangay Ginebra on Sunday.

PBA Wildcard in Ynares

Posted by admin in news, schedules

It’s a Do-or-die situation for Alaska, Talk N Text, Purefoods, Sta. Lucia. Whoever loses is out of the race for the championship. In the first game, All-Filipino Champs Sta. Lucia will face sixth seed Alaska. TNT on the other hand will face the TJ Giants in the second game. In the eliminations, the Realtors won twice over Alaska. However, in the second round, Alaska won more than 5 wins in a row and they seem to be unpredictable.

In other news, Ronald Tubid won’t be abl to play for the rest of the conference. This is due to the injury he got on Sunday against the Alaska Aces. He was brought to St. Lukes moments after being rushed to a nearby hospital during the halftime of Sunday’s twinbill.

PBA eliminations

Posted by admin in news, schedules, videos

The PBA eliminations is about to end. Air21 is sure of the first semi finals seat. Red Bull has the biggest chance of claiming the second spot. Coca Cola, Magnola, Alaska and Ginebra still have a chance for a playoff. So it still depends on what happens tonight. Red Bull will be against the TalkNText Phone Pals. But Red Bull will surely do its best to get the 2nd semi final slot wit its players very well motivated. First game features a non-bearing game for the Welcoat Dragons, but a significant must win game for the Ginebra to improve its chances of forcing a playoff in case Red Bull loses.
