Friendly Ballers
Sometimes we perceive basketball players to be not so friendly people. In those instances it could either be they lost a game or they’re really just in a hurry. As a matter of fact they’re really friendly and sociable.

We all know this blue eagle got married last year while the Season 70 was on-going to a really beautiful young lady. I wonder how their baby looks like. I’m certain it’s a cutie.
NBA All-Star point guard Gilbert arrived in the country yesterday aboard Cathay Pacific Airlines flight CX-919. Arenas came from China before heading to Manila.
Arenas, who recently announced that he has agreed to sign again for $ 111 million over six years with the Washington Wizards, is in town to launch his Adidas signature shoes called “The Black President” and “Hibachi.”
The highlight of the Arenas’ Manila visit dubbed “Adidas Agent Zero Tour 2008″ will be his appearance in the Ateneo-La Salle game in the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP) today, Sunday at the Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City. He will be joined by US Ambassador Kristie Kenney.
We all know that evening when Eugene got injured in Ynares Center. It was Purefoods against Red Bull if I’m not mistaken. Eugene is such a nice person. I usually see him lifting weights in Fitness First Ortigas and that’s how I got to befriend him, through Rob Duat. He even told me to drop by his house, and there he gave me a jersey and a basketball shorts he wore. I was so sad when he got injured and that he had to move back to the States. I hope he could come back here in the Philippines at least.
Arwind Santos’ beautiful daughter celebrated her birthday last week at The Fort. It was attended by basketball players close to Arwind.
Former Ateneo Blue Eagle Japeth Aguilar is reportedly going to play for the Harbour Center in the next PBL conference. I am just not certain if he’s done with his studies in the US. One thing is certain, he’d definitely be a big and effective replacement to those who will be leaving the ballclub for the PBA draft.
Former FEU Tamaraw RJ Rizada tied the knot June 14, 2008. The ceremony was held at Santuario de San Antonio, followed by the reception at the Manila Peninsula.
i had the chance to sit with doug days ago. some years ago me thought he was a snob. i was wrong. or you think he’s become showbizy? i was able to ask him some questions which he answered without qualms.
pbf: firstly, we all know ateneans are kind of conservative in nature, what made you decide to shed your clothes and be and underwear model?
Doug: i think i’m now of legal age, and i’ve devided that i’m already matured enough to do such things.
pbf:so which do you think is more fun? the showbiz side or the basketball side?
Doug : both are fun. it’s just i’m more on the basketball side so i enjoy it more.
pbf : you mean to say if you’re to choose, you’d still choose a basketball career?
Doug: definitely.
pbf: how do you see yourself 10 years from now?
Doug: im 24 now, maybe i’d still be playing basketball. im actually preparing myself to become a businessman since my course is related to business. by then i’d have a fallback already when i retire.
pbf: you’re getting married in october. what changes do you foresee?
Doug: a lot. i think we (cheska) would be more independent. thats probably one of the major things that would change.
